The Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences is home to more than 20 Research Centres across different disciplines and fields of study, some being - Composite Materials and Technologies Research Centre, Centre for Control Systems and Robotics Research , Centre for Aeronautical and Micro Air Vehicles Research to name a few. Each is led by committed researchers and is equipped with the tools and equipment necessary to conduct innovative research.

The Centre for National Security Studies (CNSS) Bangalore is a collaboration between the Ramaiah University of Advanced Sciences (RUAS), Bangalore and the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It is fundamentally a fusion of Academia-Military-Corporate sector and Start-up communities and its strategy is driven by an Advisory Board comprising representatives from both, the civil and military space.

Mr. P M Heblikar, Director Maxgrid Securicor (India) Private Limited, and Member Governing Council - Centre for National Security Studies (CNSS), retired as Special Secretary, Government of India, in September 2010, after 38 years of service. He specialized in intelligence and security related subjects. He has a long association with national security related issues and served on several high-level government committees besides foreign interactions at critical levels.

Mr K.C. Belliappa, Director Maxgrid Securicor (India) Private Limited and Advisor & Permanent Invitee, Governing Council - Centre for National Security Studies (CNSS), is a qualified medical doctor who served with a Special Unit of the French Foreign Legion and comes with over two decades of experience spanning specialized security operations, business development and consultancy in India, West and East Africa, Nepal, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, UK and Myanmar.
Maxgrid Securicor (India) Pvt Ltd through its senior management and global partnerships brings a unique blend of experience and capability to the Centre for National Security Studies (CNSS) with a focus on Defence technology, defence studies and national security related subjects.

In the course of its activities, Centre for National Security Studies (CNSS) has reached out to and has commenced partnership activities with like-minded institutions in India, South East Asia and South Asia with plans for Africa. More details will be available shortly.
